Spinning Art Show - Googles Immersive Geospatial Challenge

The idea

With the help of the Googles Geospatial intergration with Adobe Aero, I had the idea to put on an art show outside anywhere in the world. The immersive gallery will be something that can feature one or many artist at true life scale. This would allow people to experience original art scale and color from new outdoor places all over the world.

The build

I used Adobe Aero to build the application that features my own art as the first artist. Each 3D element was built and textured in Blender. Text elements were made in photoshop. Video and sound effects for fire were added for a more immersive effect. Also background music was added to help the ambience.

The experience

The experience of viewing art in the open was fun. I was able to enjoy this gallery while still enjoying outside at the same time. The gallery appeared almost exactly as it was suppose to appear in the Hoboken Pier A park, all thanks to Googles Geospatial Creator integration with Adobe Aero. The larger than life artwork was easy to view and easy rotate through, without taking to many step, as you would in a normal gallery setting. The music did make the experience more immersive, and the fire added an amusing little break from viewing the artwork.
